Navigating Challenges to Create a Stunning Geometric Pool in Milton
Designing and building a pool is often a blend of creativity and technical precision, but sometimes, unexpected challenges require even greater flexibility and innovation. Our recent project in Milton is a perfect example of how adaptability can turn potential setbacks into opportunities for a truly unique and beautiful pool design.
The Vision
This project began with a plan to build a sleek geometric pool, designed to be the centerpiece of the client’s resort-inspired outdoor living space. The clients had a clear vision: a high-end modern pool with a perimeter overflow and eye-catching fire bowls.
Challenges: Redesigning Around a Stream Buffer
During the planning phase, we discovered that the original survey of the property missed a critical detail—a stream buffer running through the lot. This buffer imposed a 75-foot restriction on any construction, meaning the pool could not be built as close to the planned location as initially thought.
This unexpected discovery meant we had to go back to the drawing board, redesigning the pool to comply with the regulations while still achieving the client’s vision.
The redesign process involved shifting the entire pool area to fit within the allowed space, all while maintaining the sleek geometric lines and modern features the clients desired. It was a challenging process, but one that ultimately led to a more creative and thoughtful design.
The Final Design: A Harmonious Blend of Form and Function
Despite the initial challenges, the finished pool is a striking example of how creativity and design experience can overcome obstacles. The geometric pool creates a serene and sophisticated outdoor space that perfectly aligns with the clients' vision of bringing resort living to their backyard.
